Rigorous Academics and Personalized Pathways

The ICS High School program (Grades 9-12) offers a rigorous, well-rounded, and flexible curriculum, taught by subject specialists from a Biblical worldview. We promote holistic growth through diverse courses, including a robust Advanced Placement (AP) program that provides university-level study and college credits, offering significant flexibility for global university admissions.

Our Tribe advisory program delivers consistent four-year mentorship, building strong bonds and supporting students through academics, university planning, co-curriculars, and identity formation. Refer to the age chart for age and Grade Placement.

Our Graduates Shine Across the Globe

ICS graduates have been accepted into leading universities around the world, a testament to their preparation, character, and faith.

Together,
We Shine

Curriculum and Course Offering

We believe that truth exists in the person of Jesus Christ as revealed in the Bible and in all creation. The Bible is the foundation of truth and expresses the narrative of God’s purpose for the world and redemptive plan for mankind. It remains active and relevant for each person today. Students will be guided to cultivate their knowledge of this narrative and to pursue truth by developing a worldview through patterns of thought that are rigorous, intellectually coherent, and Biblically founded.
The English Language Arts Program enables students to read, listen and view information analytically and critically from a Biblical perspective. Students are thus empowered to participate in the global community by sharing insights, opinions, and knowledge through effective written and spoken language that are powerful tools of communication.
Mathematics is the study of shape, space, pattern and relationships which reflects God’s creation of mankind with creativity and rationality, as well as God’s creation of a world with design. Mathematics is a conceptual tool that has proved valuable to other disciplines in seeking to understand the world. The mathematics program at ICS aims to provide students with mathematical knowledge and skills, related skills, attitudes, and Biblically consistent perspectives that will prepare them for the needs of daily life, university, and the workplace.
Fine and Performing Arts is valued at ICS because it is integral to the total human experience and uniquely mirrors God’s creative image. An effective and challenging curriculum in Fine and Performing Arts provides students an avenue for expressing creativity, beauty and spirituality.
In Physical Education our teachers seek to optimize the development of each student by teaching Biblical standards and values through a balance of physical, cognitive and character-building activities. We recognize and challenge the divergent needs of students in the spiritual, cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains and we seek to provide students with many opportunities to experience success in a variety of activities while reinforcing their natural tendency to move and play.
As part of a Christian school, we seek to develop in students an appreciation for the orderliness and complexity of the natural world and for God as its Creator. We believe the natural world is one of the ways in which God reveals Himself to mankind (Rom. 1:20) and that He is its continual sustainer (Col. 1:15-17). As part of a community of learners, we use a variety of instructional methods, with an emphasis on laboratory work and hands-on experience, to meet the needs of all students and to encourage them to work to the best of their abilities. We seek to develop students who are curious, capable of thinking scientifically, and able to work individually or as part of a team to solve problems. All courses follow the Next Generation Science Standards. They are lab and inquiry-based.
The focus of the ICS Social Science curriculum is to build towards AP exams in the Social Sciences of History, Comparative Government and Politics, Macro and Micro Economics, and Psychology. Our learning standards for every grade level are backward-designed from the AP standards. Alongside these core disciplines, elective courses in Anthropology and Sociology are offered in High School. Our purpose is to provide a high-quality Social Science education, building foundations for understanding the world through historical analysis, guided research, and civic duty.
The Chinese and Spanish programs at International Christian School (ICS) cultivate students’ ability to communicate in these languages with cultural competence. Both language streams enriches students’ knowledge about political, economic, and social aspects of the Chinese and Spanish-speaking communities.

A Week in High School

The ICS High School schedule operates on a 6-day rotation, ensuring a balanced and comprehensive learning experience. Tribe, our advisory program, meets daily during lunch. This program provides consistent four-year mentorship with a dedicated teacher advisor and a stable peer group, fostering strong relationships and a supportive environment for students’ holistic growth and spiritual development. Below is a sample 6-day cycle:

University Advising

Every student in Grade 9-12 is assigned to a University Advisor (UA), who provides individual and group advising. The UAs help prepare students for life after high school, for university, college, and career options. UAs work collaboratively with students and families to guide them through the university search and application process.

My Story, Our Community

Inspire. Connect. Serve. #icshkhighschool

✨ Last Saturday at Parent U, we came together to reflect on the heart of parenting - connecting with our kids, nurturing our marriages, and keeping God at the center. 💛

🛣️Even when the road ahead feels uncertain, we can rest in the assurance that our children’s future is in His hands. 💗He knows them, loves them, and cares for them even more deeply than we do.

👣We’re grateful to walk this journey alongside you. Thank you to our parents for joining us and to our speakers for sharing wisdom and encouragement. ✨

What makes ICS special? Our students and alumni! 💙

During Open House, prospective students joined class visits guided by ICS student ambassadors, while parents heard firsthand from our alumni about academics, the AP program, and life after ICS.

We’re thankful for their honest reflections and for the active engagement of every family who joined us.

For those who’ve been part of ICS for a while, you’ll remember this familiar face… ✨ Mr. Coello a.k.a Mr. Greeter ✨

Every morning, Mr. Coello welcomed students at the door with his warm smile 💙 and a high five to start the day. 🙌

What made him special wasn’t just his greeting, it was the way he genuinely cared for students. He shared how our Secondary School students would stop by his room to invite him to take the train home together 🚇 or ask him to cheer them on at home games. ⛹️‍♂️

To Mr.Coello, ICS students and families were more than a community. They became like 💕family to him here in Hong Kong.🇭🇰

At the end of his visit, he prayed with us and reminded us that God’s faithfulness is always with ICS…every day, every week, every year…and year after year. Amen! 🙏
