Ms. Kristin Barber joined the ICS community in 2024 as Elementary Literacy Coordinator and began serving as Dean of Curriculum & Instruction in 2026. Kristin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Master’s degree in English as a Second Language from Asbury University. She also holds an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from American College of Education.
Kristin comes from a four-generation family of educators. Her mother is a retired university algebra professor and her father is a retired high school biology teacher. Her grandmother taught music to kindergarteners and her great-grandmother was a one-room schoolhouse teacher. Spanning over 20 years in education, Kristin’s career includes teaching and leadership roles across public and private schools in Kentucky (US), Budapest (Hungary), Doha (Qatar), Muscat (Oman), Shanghai (China), and Hong Kong.
