CORE VALUES

To equip students to serve and transform their communities by delivering excellent Christian education designed to cultivate their character, nurture their God-given abilities, and prepare them for life, including tertiary education.

ICS Core Values Statement

Christian

We believe in being thoroughly Christ-centered, in educating students to see the world through a lens of biblical truth, and in fostering Christian character which will permeate all aspects of our students’ lives.

We believe each of our students is a unique and wonderfully talented child of God. We believe a great education equips the whole person for their unique life calling.

Holistic

We believe students learn best in a genuinely nurturing yet academically robust environment. We believe that all members of the ICS community should be continually engaged in ongoing, collaborative inquiry and development.

Growth Focused

We believe our students should think beyond their locale and develop a deep love and empathy for the entire world. This mindset will naturally result in local and global service to others.

Globally Minded

We believe in remaining financially accessible to families that desire a Christian education for their children.

FACTS & FIGURES

LEADERSHIP TEAM

To supervise the respective school divisions (lower elementary, upper elementary, middle, and high), ICS employs four principals who are directly responsible to the Head of Schools to ensure student learning via achievement of the ESLRs. ICS principals exercise their role as learning leaders by promoting a collegial, quality school environment that sustains a high level of learning, overseeing day-to-day school life by keeping a finger on the pulse of classroom instruction and curriculum development.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

International Christian School recognizes the importance of the interpersonal dimension of the learning process. We believe that community grows out of common commitments and that learning is the result of interaction between people, ideas, and experiences. As students’ accountability and responsibility to others are increased, they are better able to understand themselves, respect others, and serve as compassionate disciples of Christ and as constructive members of society.

  • The Old & New Testaments, inerrant as originally given, their plenary inspiration by God and their supreme authority as the only rule of Christian faith and practice;

  • Only one true God eternally existing in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who are the same in substance, equal in power and glory;

  • The Lord Jesus Christ, who is the true God and true man, is the only mediator between God and man. We believe in His eternal deity; conception by the Holy Spirit; birth by the virgin Mary; sinless humanity; miracles; substitutionary and atoning death through His shed blood; bodily resurrection from the dead; ascension into heaven; and personal return in power and glory;

  • The personality and deity of the Holy Spirit by whom the believer is regenerated and sanctified and by whom the world is convinced of sin, righteousness, and of judgment;

  • Man was originally created in the image and likeness of God as a rational, moral, and spiritual being. We believe, through the fall of man, all men are corrupted rationally, morally, spiritually, separated from God, and are born with a sinful nature;

  • Salvation is solely by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ for all who repent and believe in Him. Those who believe are born again of the Holy Spirit, receive the gift of eternal life, and become the children of God;

  • The resurrection of the body, the judgment of the world by our Lord Jesus Christ, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting and conscious punishment of the lost;

  • The spiritual unity of all who truly believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and their duty to maintain in all their relationships a standard of life and doctrine that is in conformity with the teachings of God’s Holy Word.
