We're right in the middle of the first week of a brand new school year, and we know that every day is a new chance to show we love our children. We also know that words are powerful, and can make the difference between thriving and feeling defeated during the inevitable highs and lows of life. The Bible contains truth about who we are; as parents, we have the valuable opportunity of speaking life or destruction into our children, and making use of that opportunity in all the ways we can matters.
Here are some ideas to get you started. You may not agree with all of the statements (disclaimer: there are some that may be considered challenging or controversial...), but you can use them as a guide to facilitate some conversations during special time that is set aside specifically for you to reconnect with your child.
