Job Purpose

You will be joining a diverse community of Christian professionals who will welcome your can-do attitude and expert skills and knowledge to track and manage the daily operation of schoolwide billing and accounts receivable (AR) and payable (AP) cycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out daily billing activities in a timely and accurate manner; daily bank activities and cash flow, reconcile, compile and analyze account information.  Assist in month-end closing and year-end closing.
• Assist in annual budget preparation and budgetary control in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
• Deliver a high standard of reporting. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and analysis.
• Handle fees associated with student admissions. Monitor and follow up overdue accounts, aging accounts and other irregularities.
• Provide a high standard of customer service on investigating and resolving inquiries from different stakeholders.
• Support annual audit exercises, stocktaking projects and conduct related scheduling and administrative work.
• Assist in finance system development and process improvement.

Requirements

• Holder of Bachelor degree/higher diploma in Accounting, Business Administration or related disciplines.
  
• At least 3 years of proven experience in general accounting and handling full-set of accounts. Experience gained in a school setting, non-profit organization or CPA firm would be desirable. Experience working with auditors will be an advantage.
• Attentive to details and accuracy, with proven problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and in a professional manner. High level of integrity and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong proficiency in MS Word/Excel/Powerpoint. Good knowledge of the ACCPAC accounting system will be an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and multitask under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Self-starter and strong initiative to learn.
