Facilities Officer

Job Purpose

You will be joining a community of Christian professionals who will welcome your skills and expertise in monitoring and maintaining high quality facilities management (FM) services delivered by FM Office, contractors and service providers.  You will also be responsible for the implementation and follow up of facilities projects/works in relation to departmental/school and enhancement of the space and facilities on campus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and follow up the following:
    • Repairs, maintenance, improvements, minor works
    • campus security related jobs such as smartcards, key systems, security team, patrol and campus access, car park and traffic control/CCTV systems.
    • Housekeeping jobs such as cleaning, health & safety, gardening
  • Liaise with the outsourced FM team to coordinate with end users to execute routine repair and maintenance, improvement and renovation works by in-house team or contractors in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Handle and communicate with other departments for facilities booking systems, helpdesk systems, and liaise with external parties for venue rental and booking matters
  • Handle the requests and communicate with the residents of the on-campus apartments.


  • At least 2 years’ working experience; prior experience gained in facilities/property management firm/school environment is highly preferred.  Experience gained in educational institutions will be an advantage.
  • Diploma or above in relevant discipline.
  • Good at negotiation, facilitation and problem solving.  Ability to give practical advice and solutions.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service mindset.
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese.
  • Emotionally stable, positive with a can-do attitude in all areas of the role.
  • Sound knowledge of basic computer software including but not limited to MS Office, Google Docs, and preferably with knowledge of other software such as AutoCAD and Adobe Illustrator.
