Job Purpose

You will be joining a diverse community of Christian professionals who will welcome your can-do attitude and expert supervisory experience to assist the Chief Financial Officer with managing the Finance & Procurement Team and schoolwide finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily billing activities in a timely and accurate manner.  Supervise daily bank activities and cash flow, reconcile, compile and analyze account information.  Manage month end closing and year end closing.
  
• Coordinate in annual budget preparation and budgetary control. 
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, analysis and forecasts with high reporting standards.
• Orchestrate the annual audit exercise, stocktaking and related administrative work.
• Assist in finance system development and process improvement.
• Assist to ensure internal compliance with school policy and related statutory requirements.
• Provide administrative support to the Finance Committee.

Requirements

• Holder of Bachelor's degree/higher diploma in Accounting, Business Administration or related disciplines.
• At least 5-7 years of supervisory experience in managing teams and monthly accounting closing is a must. Experience gained in a school setting, non-profit organization or CPA firm would be desirable.
• Solid practical experience in consolidation and budgeting processes, and dealing with auditors and annual audit exercise.
• High level of accuracy and attention to details, with strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Ability to work with business partners effectively, and break down complex financial logic and data into simpler ways.
• Strong proficiency in MS Word/Excel/Powerpoint. VBA literacy is a plus. Good knowledge of the ACCPAC accounting system will be an advantage.
• Those without a recognized professional qualification or licensure but possess substantial accounting experience at a supervisory level will also be considered.
