Facilities Officer

Job Purpose

You will be joining a community of Christian professionals who will welcome your initiative as a responsible self-starter, expertise and contributions to enhance the school building life cycle, and maintain the technical and professional image and service quality of the Facilities Management Office (FMO) and the School.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement and manage an annual preventive maintenance program works for all building facilities.
  • Coordinate with FM service providers to plan and maintain the technical side operations.  Provide regular preventive maintenance program and emergency repairs of air conditioning program and other E&M facilities.
  • Coordinate with facilities service and maintenance vendors for the daily work.
  • Assist the Senior Facilities Officer in planning, reviewing, monitoring, and controlling the budget of OPEX and CAPEX for the FMO.
  • Communicate with different stakeholders for their repair/maintenance needs and any works in progress.
  • Monitor the FM service providers on routine operations for cleaning and security planning and operation.

Requirements

  • 3 years’ experience in facilities/properties management and maintenance; prior experience gained in facilities management firm/school environment is highly preferred.
  • Diploma or above in Building Studies, Building Services, Building Management System or related disciplines.
  • Holder of Grade A certificate of registration of electrical worker.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of good practices of building and facilities management systems.
  • Project coordination experience preferred.
  • Good communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese.
  • Ability to handle emergency situations with a calm demeanor.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (e.g. Excel.) Knowledge of AutoCAD will be an advantage.
  • Service-oriented with a can-do attitude.
  • Be fully cognizant of the need to work outside normal school hours (after-school and weekends) as required.
