Excellence in Education
The ICS academic program is rigorous and challenging and includes an offering of multiple Advanced Placement subjects and honor levels courses.  At ICS, students receive a well-rounded education and are required to earn credits in a full range of subjects.  Within these parameters, student choice is also facilitated and encouraged so that students develop further in their individual areas of interest and strength.  The standard of Fine & Performing Arts at ICS is particularly high, with outstanding choir, band, art, and drama programs (including the innovative Theatre Technology course).  The Chinese program features a Literacy Stream for students with backgrounds in Chinese dialects or culture, as well as a Foreign Language Stream.  The extra-curricular program is varied, from Harvard Model Congress to French to Basketball to Spiritual Discernment.  The “Week Without Walls” program fosters different kinds of learning in various locations, often with a service component.  In terms of physical resources, ICS has a purpose-built facility, featuring new science, computer and language labs and a high quality Fine & Performing Arts center.  ICS is a Christian school and so a Christian teaching staff, school camps, weekly chapels, and a mandatory Bible curriculum are essential parts of who we are. 

More Than a School
ICS is more than quality education: ICS is people, a family.  It's a place where students linger after the school day is over; a place where teachers and students regularly eat lunch together, or play a friendly game of soccer, or talk about life together.  It's a place where students form close friendships with each other.  ICS is more than a curriculum, more than AP results, more than the development of minds and student academic performances.  While we look appreciatee our wonderful new campus, we do not depend on any campus for who we are; the people that make up ICS are much more important than any place.  ICS is about developing students as people – people who care for their immediate and wider community, people of character and integrity, people whose knowledge of God informs the way they live.
