Guidance Counseling

ICS employs a full-time guidance counselor, a part-time college advisor, and a Dean of Students whose job descriptions include student academic advising.  There is also a comprehensive system of student advisory groups and referral systems.  

ELL

Support for English Language Learners (ELL) is offered in Grades 6-8 for students who require additional instruction to meet the speaking, listening, reading, and writing requirements of mainstream classes. 

Special Needs

ICS employs a full-time learning support specialist at the Secondary level to assist students with special needs. 

Literacy Specialist

ICS employs a full-time literacy specialist who works with students to improve their English language reading and comprehension abilities.

Pastoral Care

Students also have the opportunity to obtain academic and social guidance from a full time school counselor who offers individual and group counseling.  In addition, pastoral care is provided through Bible courses and an advisory program where each student is part of an intimate caring group of 8 - 15 students under the direction of a faculty member.
