The Middle School Experience
The Middle School experience is a unique time in students' lives as they make the transition from childhood to adolescence.  Students go through physical, emotional and social changes like no other time in their lives.  Intellectually, students are developing abstract and critical thinking skills.  They begin to test the waters of independence and spread their wings socially.  Some describe this stage as a time of trials, but at ICS, we see it as a time of growth and endless opportunities.

Transitions
Our qualified teachers are passionate about teaching and sharing the love of Jesus Christ specifically with 10 – 14 year olds.  Over the past few years, we have made great strides developing the MS program, and we continue to be committed to a high standard of excellence!  To help ease the transition from Elementary to High School, we provide a balanced program which offers opportunities in the Fine & Performing Arts, athletics, student leadership, and community service which compliment our stimulating academic courses. 

A Family Environment
Although enrollment has increased, the MS maintains a family-like culture.  This is accomplished by grade-level teaming in which a group of core teachers work exclusively with a specific grade level.  This is complemented with our advisory program (FaceGroups) which ensures every student is paired with a teacher who knows him/her well enough to be an advocate.  It is a privilege to continue working with the wonderful students, parents and faculty who compose the ICS community.
